Amazon

Amazon provides both sale and rental options for titles on their storefront. Any customer can access the Amazon storefront for free and make purchases. However, Amazon has set up a 2-tiered access system, with some content being unavailable or more expensive for non-paying members.

If a customer rents a title, the customer has 30 days to start watching the title. Once the customer starts watching the title, the customer has a 24-hour window to finish watching the title.

If a customer purchases a title, the customer can watch the title indefinitely via the customer's Amazon account.

Amazon has one storefront, with a 2-tiered access system:

1. Amazon Instant Video

All customers, regardless of membership status, can access the Amazon Instant Video section of Amazon's storefront. From here, customers can rent and/or purchase titles. It doesn't cost customers anything to access this section of Amazon's storefront. However, non-member customers cannot access any content that is only available through the Prime Instant Video service.

2. Prime Instant Video

Amazon Prime members can access all titles that are on the Amazon Instant Video section of Amazon's storefront. Members can additionally stream titles on the Prime Instant Video section of Amazon's storefront at no additional cost. Members pay a yearly membership fee to Amazon for access to the Prime Instant Video storefront.
